Make your business Bloom.

We listen first. We draw before we touch a computer. Then we build you a visual identity with a personality, because that is exactly what your brand is.

About Us.

Outer Graphics is a small design studio in East Lansing, right across from the MSU campus. We have been at it since 1999, more than twenty-five years of graphic design and marketing expertise for the businesses of greater Lansing.

Small studio, personal touch. You work directly with the people doing the work, and nothing leaves here until it feels right.

We can help you with:

  • 01

    Visual Identity

Logos, color, type and the rules that hold it all together. A brand that still looks like you in ten years.

  • 02

    Websites

Sites that load fast, read beautifully on a phone, and actually sound like your business.

  • 03

    Custom Signage

Interior and exterior signage designed to be seen, read, and remembered from across the street.

  • 04

    Storefronts & Vehicles

Window graphics, storefront treatments and vehicle wraps that turn your building and your van into billboards.

  • 05

    Trade Shows

Booths, banners and hand-outs built to pull a crowd down a long, noisy aisle.

  • 06

    Publications

Desktop publishing done properly: brochures, catalogs, newsletters and annual reports.

  • 07

    Menus

Menus designed to be legible in low light and to quietly steer diners toward your best dishes.

How we work.

  1. 1 We listen

Before anything else we sit down and find out what you actually do, who you do it for, and what you want people to feel about it.

  2. 2 We draw first

Pencil before pixels. Sketching is faster, looser and far more honest. Bad ideas die cheaply and good ones show up early.

  3. 3 Then the computer

Only once the idea is right do we build it out, refine the typography, and hand you files that work everywhere you need them.

    Signage Master

Knows her stuff and is unfailingly kind about it. If it has to survive a Michigan winter, she has already thought of it.

Works.

Twenty-five years of logos, signs, menus, wraps and publications for businesses around greater Lansing. Here is a little of it.

Reviews.

  • Placeholder testimonial. Replace with a real client quote. Two or three sentences is the sweet spot: what they needed, what changed, and how it felt to work together.

A few things still to come from you

Everything above was built from the wireframe, logo files and notes you sent. The brand colors are sampled straight out of your 2023 logo, and the “how we work” section is written from your own words. The layout, typography and color are ready for your eye. These pieces are still standing in:

Two small things I changed on purpose and wanted to flag: the team bios from the wireframe are placeholders here, and the “About Us” heading is navy rather than white, because white on the mint band was too faint to read comfortably. Both are easy to take back if you would rather.
